Tungsten (W) possesses the highest melting point of all discovered elements (3,422°C) and an exceptionally high density. HUTKA SA secures and supplies premium Tungsten raw materials, sourced primarily from high-grade Wolframite and Scheelite ore deposits globally.
We deliver two primary commercial products to the market: Tungsten Concentrates (Min 65% WO3) for custom chemical roasting, and highly refined Ammonium Paratungstate (APT). These materials are the indispensable foundations for manufacturing cemented carbides (cutting tools/drills), kinetic defense penetrators, and heat-resistant aerospace superalloys.
Assay & Element Profiles
Tungsten is traded commercially based on Metric Ton Units (MTU) of contained Tungsten Trioxide (WO3). We rigorously control trace contaminants—specifically Arsenic, Phosphorus, and Tin—which cause severe embrittlement during the final sintering of cemented carbides.

High-Density Industrial Packaging
Tungsten’s extreme density requires specialized, heavy-duty logistics. Bulk ocean freight is rarely utilized; instead, material is containerized to prevent moisture degradation and physical loss of the high-value fines.
Depending on the commercial format, HUTKA SA packages Tungsten Concentrates securely into 1 Metric Ton FIBC (Super Sacks) with inner polyethylene liners. Highly refined APT powders are typically packaged into 250kg sealed steel drums or heavy-duty fiber drums. All formats are strapped securely to ISPM-15 heat-treated pallets for safe forklift extraction.

Tungsten is classified globally as a 3TG Conflict Mineral. HUTKA SA adheres strictly to the Responsible Minerals Initiative (RMI) and the OECD Due Diligence Guidance for Responsible Supply Chains. We guarantee that 100% of our Tungsten Concentrates and APT are conflict-free, ensuring our materials do not finance armed conflict in the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC) or CAHRAs. Full Chain of Custody documentation is provided to satisfy Dodd-Frank Section 1502 compliance for publicly traded defense and aerospace contractors.
Logistics & Export Protocols
Independent surveyors draw composite samples to certify the exact WO3 (Metric Ton Unit) percentage and ensure crucial penalty elements are below required thresholds.
Industrial Bagging / Drumming
Material is sealed into heavy-duty 1MT FIBC Super Sacks (for concentrates) or moisture-sealed 250kg steel drums (for highly refined APT and Ferrotungsten).
ISPM-15 Palletization
Bags and drums are placed onto certified ISPM-15 heat-treated wooden pallets, securely shrink-wrapped, and strapped with heavy-gauge steel for rapid transfer.
FCL Containerization
Palletized material is forklift-loaded into standard 20′ FCL containers. Due to the high density of Tungsten, containers max out weight capacity at ~20 to 24 Metric Tons quickly.

Every shipment is cleared for international customs with a comprehensive, fully compliant document packet dispatched via express courier to the buyer’s bank or office.
