Premium 6000-Series Recovery

HUTKA SA aggregates and processes high-purity 6063 aluminum extrusion scrap, primarily sourced from architectural tear-downs, door and window manufacturing offcuts, and structural profiles.

Available in both clean, mill-finish profiles (ISRI “TATA”) and painted/anodized mixtures (ISRI “TUTU”), our extrusion scrap provides secondary smelters with an exceptionally reliable magnesium-silicon (Mg-Si) alloy base. Through rigorous mechanical sorting, we ensure all materials are strictly free of iron attachments, thermal breaks, and plastic weather stripping, maximizing billet casting efficiency.

Densification & Shearing

Architectural extrusions are inherently long and bulky, making raw transport uneconomical. HUTKA SA utilizes heavy-duty alligator shears to cut long profiles into manageable lengths before feeding them into hydraulic baling presses.

The resulting high-density briquettes and bales drastically lower ocean freight costs and ensure optimal melting efficiency when introduced into our partners’ reverberatory or induction furnaces.

Decarbonizing Construction Materials

Aluminum extrusions are heavily utilized in global infrastructure and green building projects. By recovering and processing end-of-life window frames and architectural scrap, HUTKA SA closes the loop on construction waste. Recycling 6063 aluminum consumes only 5% of the energy required to produce primary aluminum, directly allowing our foundry partners to offer “Low-Carbon” or “Green” billets to modern developers.

Processing & Export Protocols

Phase 01
BQCIS Pre-Loading Assay

Independent surveyors from BQCIS visually inspect the scrap, conduct magnet tests for ferrous attachments, and verify the total exclusion of thermal break plastics before baling.

Phase 02

Hydraulic Baling

Extrusions are hydraulically compressed into dense, interlocking bales (approx 500kg – 1,000kg). They are banded with heavy-duty aluminum wire or plastic strapping to prevent expansion.

Phase 03

Industrial Palletization

Bales can be stacked and shrink-wrapped onto standard ISPM-15 certified wooden pallets, facilitating rapid, safe forklift extraction upon arrival at the destination foundry.

Phase 04

FCL Containerization

Pallets and bales are forklift-loaded into standard 40′ High Cube FCL containers, maximizing payload efficiency at ~22 to 25 Metric Tons per container. Bolt seals are applied immediately.
