The Crossroads of American Industry

Situated in the industrial heartland of Indiana, HUTKA SA’s United States operations function as the central nerve center for our North American supply chains. By positioning ourselves at the “Crossroads of America,” we maintain unparalleled access to major interstate trucking arteries, Class I freight railways, and critical Great Lakes shipping lanes.

Our US division operates dynamically on both sides of the commodity market. We aggregate massive volumes of secondary metals (Aluminum Tense, UBCs, and Copper scrap) from the Rust Belt’s automotive and demolition sectors for global export. Simultaneously, we import primary LME Grade Base Metals and highly guarded Strategic Minerals to sustain the domestic aerospace, defense, and electric vehicle (EV) manufacturing bases.

Commercial & Hedging Execution

Beyond physical logistics, our USA Trade Desk provides vital financial structuring for North American partners. We offer comprehensive pricing models indexed to the COMEX, LME, and specific regional premiums (e.g., Midwest Premium for Aluminum).

By leveraging real-time market data and deep liquidity pools, we assist domestic foundries and scrap yards in managing price volatility, executing forward contracts, and locking in margin stability despite fluctuating global macroeconomic conditions.

EPA Compliance & Domestic Environmental Standards

Operating within the United States requires unwavering adherence to rigorous environmental protections. All of HUTKA SA’s domestic aggregation, processing, and staging facilities operate in full compliance with Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) and OSHA regulations. Furthermore, we actively support the “Buy American” ethos by ensuring our imported strategic materials strengthen the domestic industrial base while adhering strictly to the Dodd-Frank Act regarding conflict-free supply chains.

North American Freight & Logistics

Network 01
Interstate FTL & LTL

Leveraging Indiana’s unique highway density, we deploy Full Truckload (FTL) and Less Than Truckload (LTL) assets for rapid, Just-In-Time deliveries directly to Midwest foundries and mills.

Network 02

Class I Rail Networks

For heavy, bulk, or low-margin secondary scrap, we utilize extensive domestic rail partnerships, moving material efficiently from inland processing yards to coastal export terminals.

Network 03

Bonded Warehousing

We operate highly secure, Customs-bonded warehousing facilities. This allows our US buyers to delay duty payments on imported strategic minerals until the material is withdrawn for domestic production.

Network 04

Deepwater Port Access

Our US logistics team fluidly routes FCL containers and bulk cargo through primary gateways, including the Port of Long Beach (West), Port of Newark (East), and Gulf Coast terminals.

US Customs & Import/Export Documentation

Our dedicated compliance officers ensure all shipments clear US Customs and Border Protection (CBP) seamlessly, eliminating costly demurrage and delays.
