Spodumene Lithium
Concentrate (SC6).
The Foundation of Electrification
HUTKA SA secures and supplies premium Spodumene Lithium Concentrates, derived from hard-rock pegmatite deposits. Graded at the industry benchmark of 5.5% to 6.0% Lithium Oxide (Li2O), our concentrates serve as the critical upstream feedstock for chemical converters globally.
Through rigorous upstream processing, we ensure highly consistent particle sizing and strictly manage penalty elements like Iron Oxide (Fe2O3) and Mica. This material is ultimately roasted and refined to produce the battery-grade Lithium Carbonate and Lithium Hydroxide required by top-tier EV and energy storage manufacturers.
Assay & Penalty Element Profile
Our Spodumene Concentrate is optimized for the conversion process. Strict monitoring of Iron Oxide (Fe2O3) prevents degradation of the final battery-grade chemical, while precise moisture control ensures safe and cost-effective bulk shipping.

Advanced Beneficiation Process
Raw pegmatite ore typically contains only 1.0% to 1.5% Li2O. To achieve the SC6 standard, HUTKA SA partners with cutting-edge beneficiation facilities.
The ore is subjected to multi-stage crushing, followed by Dense Media Separation (DMS) to extract the coarsest spodumene crystals. The remaining fines are processed through froth flotation cells. Finally, the concentrate is passed through high-intensity magnetic separators to drastically reduce iron levels before being filtered to optimize the moisture content for shipping.
Powering the Transition Responsibly
Lithium is the cornerstone of the zero-emission transition. HUTKA SA operates exclusively under OECD Due Diligence frameworks, partnering with hard-rock mining assets that prioritize sustainable water management, progressive land rehabilitation, and transparent community engagement. Unlike brine evaporation, hard-rock spodumene allows for rapid, scalable production with a significantly lower geographic water footprint.
Bulk Logistics & Export Protocols
Independent surveyors from BQCIS draw composite samples to certify the Li2O assay, verify penalty element thresholds, and confirm the material is below the Transportable Moisture Limit (TML).
FIBC Bagging (Super Sacks)
For containerized freight, the concentrate is loaded into heavy-duty 1MT to 2MT Flexible Intermediate Bulk Containers (FIBCs), featuring moisture-resistant inner liners.
Bulk Vessel Loading
For large-scale offtakes (e.g., 10,000+ MT), material is loaded directly into the holds of bulk carrier vessels utilizing covered conveyor systems to prevent environmental contamination.
Draft Survey (Weight)
For bulk ocean freight, the final Wet Metric Tonnage (WMT) is determined by an independent Marine Draft Survey conducted by BQCIS alongside the vessel’s Master.
