High-Purity Primary
Nickel Cathodes.
Class 1 Superalloy Feedstock
HUTKA SA supplies premium electrolytic Class 1 Nickel Cathodes, ensuring a minimum purity of 99.80%. Refined through advanced electrometallurgical processes, our nickel serves as a critical structural component in high-performance and harsh-environment applications.
Our nickel cathodes are heavily utilized in the aerospace industry for formulating heat-resistant superalloys (like Inconel), high-grade austenitic stainless steel (300 series), and precision electroplating. Crucially, our Class 1 nickel is the primary upstream feedstock for producing nickel sulfate—the core chemical precursor driving the Electric Vehicle (EV) NMC battery supply chain.
Metallurgical Data & Impurity Tolerances
Our Nickel Cathodes comply strictly with ASTM B39 and LME Class 1 parameters. We enforce strict caps on critical contaminants such as Sulfur (S) and Carbon (C) to ensure total integration capability for our stainless steel and battery-chemical partners.

Specialized Cathode Handling
Nickel is an extremely dense, high-value commodity. Depending on the end-user’s furnace requirements, cathodes are either shipped as full electrolytic plates (bundled) or precision-cut into 4×4 inch (100x100mm) or 1×1 inch squares.
Cut squares are highly susceptible to spillage and contamination during transit. To mitigate this, HUTKA SA packs all cut nickel strictly into heavy-gauge sealed steel drums, which are then strapped to heat-treated export pallets and staged in Class-A secured indoor facilities.
Powering the Electric Vehicle Transition
Class 1 Nickel is the indispensable backbone of high-density NMC (Nickel-Manganese-Cobalt) lithium-ion batteries. HUTKA SA operates exclusively under OECD Due Diligence frameworks, ensuring that our nickel supply chain is entirely conflict-free, ethically sourced, and supports the global mandate to decarbonize transportation. By partnering with responsible refineries, we actively support sustainable upstream mining practices and transparent carbon reporting.
Processing & Export Protocols
Independent surveyors from BQCIS visually inspect the plates or cuts and utilize spectrographic analysis to confirm the 99.8% minimum purity rating prior to packaging.
Cut Square Drumming
4×4 or 1×1 inch cut nickel squares are packed into heavy-duty, sealed steel drums. Each drum typically holds a precise net weight of 250 kg or 500 kg depending on buyer configuration.
ISPM-15 Palletization
Drums are placed onto certified ISPM-15 wooden pallets (usually 4 drums per pallet, equaling 1 to 2 Metric Tons). They are secured with heavy-gauge steel strapping.
FCL Containerization
Palletized drums (or bundled full plates) are forklift-loaded into standard 20′ FCL containers, safely maximizing the heavy-weight payload at ~20 to 24 Metric Tons per container.
